President’s Welcome

Welcome to the official website of the North Dallas Suburban Alumnae (NDSA) Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913 by 22 young women on the campus of Howard University with a mission of promoting academic excellence, providing public service and political awareness to the African American community. Today, we are an international service organization with over 350,000 initiated women and over 1,000 chapters located worldwide.

NDSA was chartered on March 24, 1996 by 43 women who sought to continue Delta Sigma Theta’s legacy of scholarship and public service to North Dallas and its northern suburban communities.

Our chapter currently serves cities of Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Irving, Garland, Plano, Richardson, and Mesquite.

Our membership is dedicated to upholding the ideals of our 22 Founders by providing a voice to the voiceless and aid to those in need. NDSA remains dedicated to providing innovative programming under the sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

∆ Economic Development

∆ Educational Development

∆ International Awareness and Involvement

∆ Physical and Mental Health

∆ Political Awareness and Involvement

Thank you for visiting our website, we encourage you to visit regularly to stay informed of all the upcoming programs and events we host throughout our service area.
