Scholarship Program
The North Dallas Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. (NDSA) is a public service organization serving the North Dallas suburban area with a primary focus on the African-American community. We annually offer our Scholarship Program awarded to graduating high school seniors of African American descent. Awards range between $1,500-$2,500 to assist with defraying higher education ancillary costs.
We seek candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be an African American male or female student
- Must be a graduating high school senior
- Must attend school or reside in one of the following cities: Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Garland, Irving, Mesquite, Plano, or Richardson
- Must possess a grade point average of 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale) or a 4.0 GPA or higher (on a 5.0 scale), as documented by an official transcript
- Must exhibit leadership abilities and engage in community service
- Must have plans to attend an accredited college or university within one year of high school graduation
Note: If applicant participates in any North Dallas Suburban Alumnae’s youth programs, they can apply even if not living in the chapter’s service area.
The Scholarship Application is now available and must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. April 15, 2024.
